Dogwood Arts Festival
The Dogwood Arts Festival is the premiere event in Knoxville. People come from all over the country to see the spectacular blooms of the dogwood trees and azaleas and participate in the festivities. There are 60 miles of driving trails in seven locations throughout the city, arts and crafts, music, drama, garden shows, and many other activities during the 17 days of the festival. End of March - mid April
Boomsday
Boomsday is the largest fireworks show in the Southeast and is held on the banks of the Tennessee River. Includes live entertainment. Free.
