How Do I reserve a hotel room?
To make a reservation, use the search bar on the left of any of the pages in the "search" section of the site. Use this form to specify location and dates of travel and we will show you a list of hotels that match your criteria. From this list you can view information about specific hotels or choose one to compare room availability and room rates. If the hotel you are interested in has the room type and the room rate you desire, simply select this room and fill out the checkout form to complete a reservation. Most reservations are made real time. We will follow up with you via email to confirm your reservations.
How do I know the reservation is confirmed?
Many reservations are made real time and confirmation can be made immediately. And, we always follow up with you via email to let you know that your room has been secured. If you would like to confirm or follow up on a reservation, please write to use at support@travelUsa.com.
Why Do Some Hotels Quote a Total Price While Other Quote a Nightly Rate?
Travel USA works with several different booking engines, and not all of them have the same cost structures. For instance the HRN (our most popular booking engine), requires all fees to be paid up front and thus quotes all prices as total cost, including tax and fees. Our other booking engine partners quote on a per-night basis without quoting taxes and fees, and money is collected by the hotels upon checkout. Both engines provide great deals, they just have different requirements.
How do I know that my credit card information is secure?
Travel USA takes the issue of secure commerce very seriously and we take every necessary step to ensure your credit card information is secure. You will notice when you arrive at the checkout page that your browser shows a padlock icon on your status bar (often in the bottom-right corner). This indicates that the page is secured by user of a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). SSL is the industry standard for secure data exchange from one system to another. Further, you may click on the SSL padlock to read the certified merchant information which ensures you that you are shopping with who you think you are! For more information on SSL or Thawte, our SSL certificate provider, please visit www.thawte.com.
Are rollaway beds/cribs available for Hotel Reservations?
Most hotels and some vacation rentals offer rollaway beds and cribs (typically at a charge- $5.00-$20.00 each). Some may have restrictions on what room types will allow rollaway beds. This may be listed on the Lodging Information page. If special requests are accepted, a section will appear on the Reservation Form to insert such requests and submit them to the hotel or vacation rental.
Are hotel room rates per night, or per person?
All rates are based on double occupancy per room, and are quoted on a nightly basis unless otherwise specified. Extra people, children, roll-away beds and incidentals may be subject to additional charges.
Do the rates quoted include tax?
It will be indicated by the quoted rate if taxes and miscellaneous charges/fees are included. In general, taxes and fees are included for "Special Internet Rates" and are not included for "Additional Rates." This is just a general rule and you should carefully read all text associated with any reservation.
What is a Vacation Condo?
A vacation rental is any suite-type lodging that has self-catering facilities (wet bar, refrigerator, microwave, etc.) Most vacation rentals have separate bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens, one or more bathrooms, washer and dryer, and sometimes a balcony or patio. Towels and linens are provided. Daily maid service and other hotel conveniences are usually available.
Unlike hotels with per person pricing, there is a set price for an entire vacation rental with a maximum number of persons allowed. Most one-bedroom units sleep a maximum of four using a sleeper/sofa in the living room. Most two-bedroom vacation rentals sleep a maximum of six, and most three-bedroom vacation rentals sleep up to eight.
Please carefully read the vacation rental descriptions to learn the specifics of what is provided and how many people are allowed.
Who can I contact for assistance?

Why are the images blurry and distorted on AOL?
AOL applies ART compression to image files in an attempt to optimize use of bandwidth. Unfortunately, most images are already compressed by websites before this additional compression is applied. This results in unnecessary lost of image integrity on many images. If you are experiencing this problem with our site you have likely also noticed this problem on many other sites as well. You can disable ART file compression however by changing your images preference settings via the AOL preferences menu. For more information on how to do this, please read the Help menu for the version of AOL you are using.
